La Haza is an olive farm that has been lovingly restored to make an excellent b&b. Most of the 5 rooms are dotted around the patio, with two rooms upstairs, above the dining room. The dining room is where breakfast and dinner are served during colder periods, in summer, you will usually be having your meals outside, either on the patio, or on one of the many terraces out front, overlooking the spectacular views that La Haza enjoys. After all, who can say they overlook the Sierra Nevada some 55 km away?

Rooms are decorated in the local rustic style and all benefit from shower/wc. There is a quiet garden (with real grass, a rarity in this part of the world...), a pool and plenty space to relax and enjoy a drink (with a home-made tapa), or just laze in the sun. There is plenty of parking in front of the building.

On the odd occasion that the weather is somewhat more inclement, there are covered areas for you to sit outside, or there is a small reading room with a TV should you so wish. Games and books are plentiful, and Bernadette and Patriek will give you all the advice and route descriptions for your visits to the area. These include: Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Priego de Cordoba, Zuheros, El Torcal, El Chorro, Iznajar itself, of course, Rute with its museums (Anis, Ham, Chocolate and Biscuits)

Of an evening, Chef Patriek regales you with a fantastic table d'hote-style 3-course dinner, made entirely from seasonal, fresh produce and taking into account any special wishes or dietary requirements. We would recommend that you book dinner for the first evening, so you can try out the delicious food, although Bernadette and Patriek will be quite happy to provide you with alternatives. Kitchen is international with Spanish twists. Please give us 24h notice for dining on your first night. What do our guests think? La Haza is situated some 10km south of Iznajar, the southernmost village of the Andalucian Cordoba province, and located very centrally within the Seville-Cordoba-Malaga-Granada area, allowing for fast access to all these places, and the airports of Granada and Malaga, both of which are less than an hour's drive away.

Driving from Malaga Airport, you take the A-7 into Malaga, then follow Antequera, Cordoba and Granada, until you see the exit for the A-45 (Cordoba, Antequera, Granada and Seville), take that and follow until the exit for Granada (this week it is called Exit 114), take this exit and follow for about 25km to exit 1 for Salinas, follow the road to the T-junction and turn left, to another T-junction where you go left again (to Iznajar). Follow the road and check the km markers. Past km point 55 you will see a road signed to the left, going to Cruz de Algaidas and El Adelantado, turn left here and immediately left again (some 50m further) where you will see a wooden sign for La Haza, 2.6km. Follow the road and the signs until you come to the entrance to La Haza. Note: the turn is so sharp that it is impossible to take it in one go. Line your car up as much as possible, reverse and then drive up our drive. See you there!

Coming from Cordoba, follow the instructions for Iznajar, then drive past the village across the large bridge and follow the road up for another 7km or so. 500m past the petrol station you will see the road signed Cruz de Algaidas and El Adelantado, turn right there, then as indicated above.

Please note that the pin on the map is not entirely correct, our Google coordinates are 37 degrees 13 minutes 11.05 seconds North, and 4 degrees 21 minutes and 21.76 seconds West, allowing you to zoom in (best about 1.23km) and see for yourself the stunning location.
