Open plan ground floor with shower room/toilet, large lounge and fully equipped kitchen with full range of utensils, cooker, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, microwave, crockery and glassware. Impressive dining area opened up through to exposed roof beams. Separate utility room with washing machine, iron, ironing board, airer etc. There is an inter-connecting door between Fauvette and sister gite Souris, making it ideal for large groups to use both as one unit, sleeping up to 14 in all. Satellite HD TV/Radio, HD DVD player and expanding DVD library. Free internet access WIFI (Broadband). A range of books and games are also provided.

First Floor - Three large spacious and well appointed double bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with twin beds. A second shower room and toilet. All rooms lead from the mezzanine. There are two foldaway beds available if required. All rooms have beautiful views of the countryside, pool and large garden garden with ample space for ball games, table tennis, boules, croquet, kite-flying, frizbees, or simply relaxing in a hammock under the shade of the trees. You have your own private terrace with garden furniture, parasol and BBQ with views of the pool and beautiful undulating countryside. The 11x7m illuminated pool is heated and is enclosed with childproof gate lock and is equipped with hammock, ample sunloungers, chairs, small tables and parasols for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside with sunflowers/vines. Relax by the poool and sip a glass of wine whilst planning a visit to an aray of interesting places to visit in our area.

If you are looking for peace and tranquility, then look no further. Our properties are situated in beautiful, undulating countryside amidst sunflowers and vineyards. We are located in a tiny, peaceful hamlet between Mouthiers-sur Boeme and Blanzac, yet only 20 mins away from Angoulême (Charente's capital) with its many bars/restaurants, boutiques, museums and culture.

To cover basic needs, Mouthiers-sur-Boeme has a mini-supermarket, 2 boulangeries, charcuterie, bar-restaurant, doctor, dentist, pharmacy, hairdressers, post office and bank and is only 4 mins away. Its restaurant serves good quality 3-course meals at lunchtimes for €12, including a pichet of red/white or rosé wine. Another restaurant serving quality lunchtime meals can be found at 'La Diapason', Blanzac (9 mins away), which is set in a typical small square overlooked by a 12 C church. basic shops similar to Mouthiers can also be found here. Further afield, some 15 mins at Nonac, is Le Grain de Sel, again serving quality lunches with wine for €12. If you are looking for Haute Cuisine, then a visit to 'Le Lavelette' is a must, but book several days in advance to avoid disappointment. It is located in pretty Villebois Lavalette, with its chateau and Les Halles, only 15 mins away. For more extensive groceries etc., large supermarkets are at Chateauneuf (20 mins), Villebois Lavelette (15 mins) and La Couronne (15 mins).

We are ideally positioned for exploring our area : Cognac, pretty Brantome, Riberac with its massive Friday market, Aubeterre-sur-Dronne (reputed to be Charente's prettiest medieval village) and Angoulême itself, all which are well worth a visit.... Or simply relax by our heated pool and soak up the sunshine.

COGNAC : (35 mins away) Visit the world's famous brandy producers with tastings to finish, and some amazing festivals. Its golf course has a 72 par 18 hole golf course designed by Jean Garaialde. High quality setting and open all year. Cognac Tennis Club - a choice of 18 courts. River cruises on the Charente.

ANGOULEME : The capital of Charente and a must for your 'Places to Visit' list. Full of culture, museums, boutiques, shops, history and culture, restaurants for that 'Al Fresco' meal anytime of the day. 'Chez Paul', a popular restaurant, is well worth trying, having a magnificent varied menu at reasonable prices, so booking in advance is recommended in the height of the summer season. The centre of 'Comic Strip' with its famous Comic Strip Museum.

BRANTOME-SUR-DRONNE : (40 mins away) A picturesque village on the river Dronne. Shops, boutiques, market, history, restaurants and cafés, canoe hire. A popular place well worth spending a day there.

AUBETERRE-SUR-DRONNE : (40 mins away) Another picturesque medeival village with steep lanes, boutiques, market square with shops and restaurants and has the finest underground church (Saint Jean) in Europe. Has its own man-made beach where a lifeguard guarantees safe swimming; also canoeing for all abilities.

ROUMAZIERES : (40 mins away), has the 'Velo Rail' (cycle rail). Well worth a day's outing, so take a picnic. Visit www.velorail.16.com

OTHER ACTIVITIES/VISITS : All within easy reach of us. Biking, horse riding, quad bikes, Go Karts, golf, fishing, rambling. FUTURESCOPE at Poitiers, LA PALMYRE ZOO at Royan, harbourside cafés and restaurants at La Rochelle.
